Here's how Lock 12 works ...

We'll determine your individual Lock 12 amount for the next 12 months based on several factors such as normal weather, gas prices, and prior gas usage at your business.

• You'll pay one flat amount every month for the next year. 
• We'll bill you on one convenient, easy-to-understand monthly statement.
• By choosing Lock 12, you will be enrolling in the utility's Choice program. Nicor Advanced Energy will supply your gas and the utility will continue to read your meter, deliver your gas, and respond to any gas leaks as normal.

More stable than the utility's Gas Budget plan.

Make no mistake. This is not the utility's budget plan. There are no periodic adjustments, and no variations in your monthly bill to worry about. You pay the same amount for 12 months, regardless of the weather or how the price of gas changes. There's no guarantee that you'll pay more or less than you would have paid with Nicor Gas' Budget plan or standard rates over the same period of time.

With the Lock 12 program, you'll know exactly what you'll be paying each and every month, so you can better budget your expenses. Your Lock 12 amount will remain consistent — even in the face of extreme weather and gas prices.
